without helping a shewing any Remorse but used
other Wicked Expressions on being talk'd to by this
Deponents mother who was the only person present besides
herself when the affair happened.

being Sworn Saith that this Day Month she
saw Mary Bell< no role > and Elizabeth Allen< no role > two woman
who lodged in a Court in the Neighbourhood, and a
Man whose Names's Draper drinking Purl together
by the Fire Side when she first came down Stairs in the morning
and second agreeable and Bell askd Allen several times
to Drink till this Deponent seeing her very Fuddled ad [..]
Bell not to give her any more But this Deponent gave her
a couple of Dishes of Tea thinking it better for her and
advised her to Drink no more purl Says Allen
drank the Tea as she sat with Bell and presently
layd her head on Bell Shoulder who push'd her away
with her Arm & immediately the name Whore was used
but by which of them she does not know but presently
Bell sayd how dare you call me whore I am a Married
Woman Allen then sayd if you are a Married Woman
you are a Whore as well as me Then Bell sayd call
me whore again and I'll be after Splitting your Skull
To this Allen sayd then Moll you are a Whore Then
Bell got off the Seat and tossed the Purl in her Face
and hit her with the pewter pint pot by making a
Blow at her after the had so thrown out the Purl
