Body of Elizabeth Allen< no role > Spr
there lying dead.

Jane< no role > the wife of Joseph Hale< no role > of Old Street
in the Parish of Saint Luke in the County of
Middx . Victualler on her Oath Saith that about
a month ago the deced and one Mary Bell< no role >
came into Depts House together, the deced being
very much in Liquor, says they bad a pint of
Purl and sat down together was sociable: and
the deced lolled her Head upon Bell's Shoulder
upon which Bell gave her a Hunch with her
Elbow, and they called each other Whore, that
Bell on Allen's calling her where, said that
if you call me Whore again I will Split your
Scull, says that Allen called Bell where again,
and Bell threw what purl was in the pot in
Allen's Face, and immediately struck allen a Blow
on the left side of the Head with the pot with
great Violence, and the deced fell to the Ground
and went into a Fit in which she continued about
ten minutes, and presently after she came out of
that Fit the deced fell into another, and care
was taken of the deced that Dept. told Bell that
she had murdered the Woman, on which Bell
replyed, then I shall be hanged and the Devil
care for that says that Dept. immediately sent
for a Constable, and be would not take charge
ofdecedBell without a Warrant, and Bell went
away, and Dept. asked the deced if she had any
Friends, informing her it was a Sad thing to be
