George White< no role > Bright of Aldersgate Street London Doctor in
Physick and Man Midwife maketh Oath & saith that
that having this Morning been sent for to examine the
Body of a New born Male Infant taken out of the Necessary
at the House of Mr. John Hall< no role > in Irwin Street Dept.
immediatlywith Mr. Thomas Godman< no role > of Old Street
in the County of Middx Surgeon examined the Body
of the sd. Infant: says Mr. Godman opened the Body
of the sd. Infant in Depts. presence and the usual Experiment of
puting the Lungs in Water was tried & they sworn upon
the Surfire of the water which Dept. apprehends evidence
to demonstrate that the Child had breathed, that there
appeared a wound upon the right side of the Infant's
[..] between the upper & the lower Jaw, & the under
Jaw was broke, and if the Child was taken out by any
person's hand Dept. apprehends it must have been done
by violence, says he believes the [..] Mother of
the Infant had gone her full time as the Infant appeared

the supposed Mother of the sd. Infant & found she had very
lately been delivered of a Child & Dept. took from her the After
burthen Says the Naval string of the Child was neither
cut nor tied but [..] which was dangerous to both the Mother and
the Child.

Thomas Godman< no role > of Old Street in the County of Middx
Surgeon maketh Oath that Dept. having been sent for their
Morning to examine the Body of a new born Male Infant taken out of
the Necessary at Mr. John Hall< no role > in Jew in Street he immediately
went there with Dr. George White< no role > Wrightand in his presence
opened or caused to be opened the Body of the sd. Infant:
and the Experiment of puting the Lungs in water was tried [..]
& they swarn upon the Surpice of it, which he apprehends
evidently demonstrates that the Child had breathed; say he
[..] that there appeared a wound upon the right side
of the Infant's mouth and the lower Jaw on the same side was
broke, which Dept. apprehends might probably be occasioned
by the Mother in faceing herself from the Child, which
Injury Dept. believes occasioned the death of the Infant.
