That Voluntary Confession of Frances Coffee< no role >
a Black taken upon Oath before me Richard
Chamberlayne
< no role > Esqr . one of his Majesties Justices
of the peace for the said County.

Says that when he was between time and Ten years of
Age he was Baptized by a minister in Jamaice, and that
he has been Acquainted with Thomas Ranson< no role > and Phillip
Egerton
< no role > for the space of Four Years last and first became
so in St. John Square Clakenwell in the sd County where between
the Hours of twelve and one of the morning of the 28th. of May
Philip Egerton< no role > als Batt< no role > a Servant one Jockey James< no role > and the said
Thomas Ranson< no role > met at the said Jocky James Stale and
Consulted what to do and as they were Comming out of of the Stable
Edgerton als Batt told them that his Master wanted some Sadler
upon which Edgerton als Batt went back into James's Stable
& brought with him a picca of Board and put his foot to the
door of the stable of Joseph Bentley< no role > and found it loose and
then put the Board between the Stable door and the post and
Broke open the Door and all three of them went in and there
saw two Sadles Hand up and some Bridles Egerton als Batts
took one of the Sadles by the Stirrup but could not reach it
down but this Deponent reached it down for him and also
took the Other Sadles down and Deponent was about to take down
the Bridles Edgerton als Batt said there was no Occasion
for Bridles for that his Master had enough further says
Edgerton als Batt took one of the Sadles and Ransom the
other while Deponent fixed the Door and Carried them to
James's Stables and then Deponent took both the Sadles to
James's House the Sign of the Horse and Groom in Cow Cross between
