Manner and Form aforesaid feloniously did kill and slay against the peace of our
said Lord the King his Crown and Dignity, What Goods and Chattles the aforesaid
Henry Pestell< no role > and Joseph Johnson< no role > at the Time of the Felony aforesd. or at any Time
afterwards had the said Jurors know not In Witness whereof as well the said
Coroner as the said Jurors aforesaid have to this Inquistion Interchange ably set
their Hands and Seals the Day and Year first above written.

Depositions touching the Death of John Davison< no role > a Prisoner in Ludgate
prison supposed to have been poison'd taken before John King< no role > Esqr . Coroner
for the City of London .

Joseph West< no role > a prisoner in Ludgate maketh Oath & saith that on Monday the 23d. Day of
March 1752. John Davison< no role > complained in the Afternoon of a violent pain in his Head,
But was very well in the Morning, But had a Purging 3 or 4 Days before which had quited
left him and which happens very frequently to Persons in the said Prison occasioned by
the Closeness of the Place and for Want of Air and Exercise, says the same Evening one
Joseph Johnson< no role > being then in the Room he called this Depont. aside to enjoyn a Secret
with him; But this Depont. said if it was not very material he would & then he told this
Deponent that we have given Davison some Jallop in his Milk, And that it had been given
him that Day; Says that he heard the deced Davison say that he wished he had never
went into the Room or eat any of the Milk; Says the next Day being Tuesday he asked
the sd. Davison to dine with him, But he complained that he was very Ill and cou'd not eat
any Thing; And at the same Time said that some of them wod. repent of what they had
done, Says at Night again he complained of Violent Rackings; And on the Wednesday
Morning he got up very ill went to the Vault and afterwards complained of Violent panis
in his Bowells, Says that he often complained and said they have been the Death of me;
And desired that in Case he should did he might be opened, And whenever the sd. Johnson
came into the Room, he used to say, whar does that Man do here and seemed to be in
Agenies This Depont. further says that he firmly believes what was given him by the said
Johnson & others was the Death of the sd. John Davison< no role > he being in perfect Health before.
