Depositions touching the Death of John Davison< no role > a prisoner in
Lordgate prison Supposd to have been poisond, Taken before
John King< no role > Esqr . Coroner for the City of London .

Joseph West< no role > a prisoner in Ludgate Maketh Oath & Saith that on Monday
the 23d. day of March 1752. John Davison< no role > complain in the afternoon of a
Violent pain in his Head, But was very well in the Morning, But had a
purging 3 or 4 Days before which had quite left him and which happens
very frequently to prisons in the sd. prison Occasioned by the Closeness of
the Place & for want of Air & Exercise, says the same Evening one Joseph
Johnson< no role > being then in the Room he called [..] this Depont. a side to
Enjoyn a Secret with Him; But this Deponts. Sd. if it was not very Material
he would & then he told this Depont. that we have given Davison same
Jallop in his Milk, And that it had been given him that Day; Sags
that he heard the Deced Davison say that he wished he had never went
into the Room or Eat any of the Milk; Say the next day being Tuesday
he asked the sd. Davison to dine with him, But he complaind that he was
very Ill & could not Eat anything, And at the same time said that
some of them would repeat of what they had done; Says at Right again
he Complaind of Violent Rankings; And on the Wednesday Morning he
get up very Ill went to the Vault & afterwards complaind of Violent
paris in his Bowells, Says that he often Complain & said that they
have been the Death of me, And desired that in Case he should Die he
might be opened, And when ever the sd. Johnson came into the Room, he
used to say, what does that Man do here and seemd to be in Agenies
This Depont. further Says that he firenly believes what was given
him by the sd. Johnson & others was the Death of the said John Davison< no role >
to being in perfect Heath before
