London To wit

William Hammond< no role > of St Saviours Southwark
in the County of Surry Esquire and Peter Theobald< no role > of
Lambeth in the said County of Surry Esqr Joyntly and
Severally make oath that this present Fourteenth
Day of October these Deponents went to the New
Corn Market in Mark Lane in the City of London
to Enquire into the price of Middling English [..]
Oats and upon such Enquiry then found that the
Common market price of Midling English Oats
exceeded Sixteen Shillings per Quarter And that such
oats were accordingly bought and Sold there at
prices exceeding sixteen shillings the Quarter And
further these Deponents each Speaking for himself
Say that they and each of them are now
severally seized of Freehold Estates of the clear
Yearly Value of twenty Pounds a piece and
upwards over and above all Charges and Reprizes
And that these Deponents are Skillfull in the
prices of Oats and other Corn And that they are
severally Housekeepers and live in the said County
of Surry And that neither of them are Corn
Chanders Meal men Factors or Merchants
for the Importation of Corn Nor any way
concerned or interested in any Oats to be
Imported.
