of the peace for the same City in the General Session of the Peace for
the said City assembled.
We the Grand Inquest for the City of London
in discharge of that important duty Do most
humbly present to this Honble. Court that upon Tower Hill
in the Ward of Tower
in London there
now is and continually for the Space of three years last past there hath been a certain Ill governed
disorderly house kept and maintained thereby one William Castledine< no role >
called Tower hill Bagnio
and that during all the time aforesaid diverse persons both Men and Women of evil fame and
Conversation have been frequently suffered and permitted by the said William Castledine< no role >
for
the sake of unlawful Lucre & Gam at all hours as well in the night as the day time to meet
together Careing swearing toppling whoring prophaning the Sabbath days making great Noises
and disturbances and otherwise misbehaving themselves To the great Nusance & endangerment
of the lives of His Majestys liege subjects inhabiting thereabouts In defiance of the Authority
of the Majestices of this City. To the manifest Corruption of the morals of Youth and against
The Majestys peace.
And to this ur presentment We most humbly beg lease to subjoin our hearty and
unanimous recommendation to this Court that that they will be graciously disposed to give the
necessary directions for the prosecution of this presentment.
