maketh Oath
That on Monday the Seventh, Friday the Eleventh
and this present Fourteenth Days of October He
this Deponent went to the New Corn Market in
Mark Lane
in the City of London
to enquire into
the price of Middling English Oats And upon
Such Enquirys he found on the said Several
Days that the Common
Market price of Middling
English Oats Exceeded Sixteen Shillings the Quarter
And that such Oath were accordingly bought and
Sold there on the said Severall Days at Prices
Exceeding Sixteen Shillings the Quarter And
further this Deponent Saith That he is now seized
of a Freehold Estate of the clear Yearly Value of
twenty Pounds and upwards over and above
all Charges and Reprizes And that he this
Deponent is skilfull in the prices of Oats and other
Corn And that he is a Housekeeper and lives
in the Said County of Middlesex
And that he is
not a Corn Chandler Mealman Factor or
Merchant for the Importation of Corn Nor any
way Concerned or interested in any Oats to be
Imported
