he gave to one Wm. Sparry< no role > a Recoit in full for Debt
and Costs in a certain Cause between the sd Isaac
Plaintiff and one John Clarks< no role > Defendant which
Rewit new in these words 5th. July 1748. Reced of
Mr. William Sparry< no role > in Money and Security a full
And Ample Satisfaction for Debt and Costs in the
within Cause [..] I do herely undertake and permise
to deliver up the within mentioned Note for which
this Action was brought as soon as the same three
came to Hand and I do hereby undertake and promise
not to [..] the said Note the same not being
at present endorsed but shall at any time hereafter
at the Expence the Defendant acknowledge Satisfaction
upon Record for the Judgement attained against the
Defendant or his Bail and I hereby authorize Mr
Richd. Greensmith< no role > one of the [..] of this honble

Which Said Receipt was endorsed on the Declaration
in the aforesaid Cause and is the same Receipt
now shewed unto this Informant, and this Informant
further sayth that the words their had and and the
words the sum of eighteen Pounds two Shillings and
Nine pence were not in the said Receipt when the
said Receipt was Signed by this Informant; but an
save added by some Pordan unknown to this Informant
and without his Prioity or [..] the same. And
this Informant sayth that at the Time of Signing the
said Receipt be received of said Wm. Sparry< no role > One Guines in
Money and a Note for another Guinea and us nine Money
nor any other Satisfaction whatever for his said Debt or [..]
