The Jurors for our Lords the King upon their Oath present that heretofore that is to Say on the thirtieth day of Sum in the year of our Lord one Thousand Seven hundred and forty one Thomas De Veil< no role >
Esquire them and long before and always afterwards hither being of the Justices of our Said Lord the Present King assigned to hoop the Peace of our Said Lord the King in and for the County of Middlesex
and also to hear and Determine diverse felonys trespasses and other Misdeeds committed in the Said County of Middlesex in the Parish of Saint Pauls Covent Garden in the Said County of Middlesex
did then and there duly make out a Warrant in writing under his hand and Seal in the words following Middlesex to wit To the Keeper of his Majestys Goal of Newgate or his Deputy Receive
into your Custody the body of James Hall< no role > herewith Sent you brought before me by Mr Tunes Constable and charged upon the Oath of Mr Thomas Wotton< no role > and Mrs Ann Laws< no role > upon a violent and Strong
Suspicion of having feloniously assaulted and murdered Mr John Penny< no role > by bealing his brains out and cutting his throat of which he instantly died him Safely keep until discharged by dew Course of Law
By Order of Which said Warrant the Said James Hall< no role > the Day and year last mentioned was by the Said Keeper taken into the Custody of the Said Keeper in his Said Majesties Goal of Newgate to witt
in the Parish of Christ Church in the ward of Faringdon within (the said Goal of Newgate in the Parish and Ward aforesaid there and long before and always afterwards hitherto being his Said Majestys
Goal for the Said County of Middlesex ) Charged with the said Warrant And the Turnes aforesaid upon their Said Oath further Present that the said Thomas De Veil< no role > Afterwards to witt on
the first Day of July in the year last mentioned in the said parish of Saint Paul Covent Garden in the Said County of Middlesex did duly make out another Warrant in writing under the hands and
Seal of him the said Thomas De Veil< no role > in the Words following Middlesex to Wit To the Keeper of his Majestys Goal of Newgate or his Deputy Detain in your Custody the body of James Hall< no role >
charged on the Oaths of Mr Thos Wooten< no role > and Mr John Knight< no role > for feloniously taking from the late Mr John Penny< no role > a Green Push with a Parcell of Gold in it and Severall other things
his Property found in his Custody after the Murder of the said John Penny< no role > here Safety keep till discharged by due course of Law And for So doing this shall be your Warrant By Virtue
of which Said last mentioned Warrant the Said James Hall< no role > the Day and year last mentioned was detained a Prisoner in the Custody in the Custody of the said Keeper of his Said Majesties said Goal
of Newgate in Newgate aforesaid to will in the parish of Christ Church in the Ward aforesaid charged with the Said Warrant And the Jurors aforesaid upon their Said Oath further present
that the said James Hall< no role > then being in Custody of the said Keeper in the Said Goal of Newgate on the Second Day of July in the year last aforesaid by Virtue of the said Respective Warrant
Roger Jackson< no role > Esquire then and long before and afterwards being one of the Coroners in and for the City and Liberty of Westminster in the County of Middlesex and having a Sufficient Authority
for that purpose on the Said Second Day of July last mentioned in the Parish of in the Said City of Westminster in the Said County of Middlesex did make out a Warrant
in Writing under the hand and Seal of him the said Roger Jackson< no role > in the Words following Westminster City and Libty in the County of Middlesex To the Keeper of his Majesties Goal
of Newgate Whereas you have in your Custody the body of James Hall< no role > who by the Jurors upon their Inquest taken before me is found Guilty of the Murder of John Penny< no role > late of the Parish
of Saint Clement Danes within the Liberty of Westminster in the Said County Gentleman . These are therefore to require you to keep the Said James Hall< no role > Session your Custody till he shall be
discharged by Law and for your So doing this Shall be your Warrant By Virtue of which Said last mentioned Warrant the Said James Hall< no role > the Day and year last mentioned was
detained and Continued a Prisoner in the Custody of the Said Keeper in the said Goal of Newgate to witt in the said Parish of Christ Church in the Ward aforesaid (the Said Goal of Newgate in the Parish
and Ward last aforesaid then and long before and always afterwards hitherto being his said Majesties proper Goal for Prisoners committed by the said Coroner for the Causes in the said Warrant last mentioned

mentioned Nathaniel Chandler< no role > Esquire then and long before and always afterwards hitherto being one of the Justices of the Said Lord the King assigned to keep the Peace of our said Lord the King in
and for the said County of Middlesex and also to hear and Determine diverse felonys [..] and other Misdeeds comitted in the said County of Middlesex in the Peaceth of
in the Said Count of Middlesex did then and there duly make out a Warrant under the Hands and Seals of him the Said Nathaniel Chandler< no role > in the words following Middlesex to witt to the Keeper
of Newgate or his Deputy receive into your Custody the body of John Steward< no role > otherwise [..] look herewith Sent your brought before one by John Haine< no role > Constable of the Holywell Street Street Saint
Leonard Shoreditch and charged upon oath of John Zachary< no role > for robbing him in the [..] Church in the County of Middlesex of a Gold Walid, Several Horse and bridle
