Aldgate London andthe Churchwardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint
Margaret Pattens in the City of London

Whereas Complaint hath been made unto Us two of
His Majesties Justices of the Peace for this City and the
Liberties thereof one being of the (Quorum) [..] ) by You the Churchwardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Saint Buttolph
without Aldgate in the City ofLondon That Elizabeth
Gravener Wife of Manister Gravener< no role > (whife Husband hath
left her and her two Children to Witt Ann< no role > aged two Years and
upwards & Elizabeth< no role > Six Months or there abouts Are
lately come to reside in your said parish not having obtained any
Legal Settlement there are likely to become chargeable
thereto unless timely prevented Which Complaint We judge to
be true and for as much as it appears unto Us by the Oath of
Samuell Juman< no role > that about Sixteen Yeares ago Manister
Gravener Husband of the sd Elizabeth Gravener< no role > Served three
Yeares part of his Apprentiship , with William Akerden< no role > a painter
in the parish of Saint Margaret Pattens in the City of London
And no other Subsequent Settlement appearing unto Us We the
Said Justices are of opinion and do to judge the last Legal
Settlement of the said Elizabeth Gravener & her two Children
Ann and Elizabeth
to be in the said Parish of Saint Margaret Pattens in the
City of London And that thitherto they ought by Law
to be sent

These are therefore in his Majesties Name to Will and
Require You the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of
the said Parish of Saint Battolph without Aldgate
London forthwith to Remove and Convey the said Elizabeth
Gravener & her two Children Ann and Elizabeth
from and out of your said Parish unto the said Parish of Saint
Margaret Pattens in the City of London
And them deliver unto the Churchwardens and Overseers
of the Poor there or one of them Who is and are hereby required
to Receive and Provide for them according to Law Given
under our hands and Seals this Nineteenth day of Febry
