WHEREAS Complaint hath this Day been made
unto us two of His Majesty's Justices of the
Peace for this City, and the Liberties thereof (Quorum
unus) by You the Churchwardens & Overseers of
the Poor of the Parish of Saint Martins Ludgate
London , That Ann Salisbury< no role > Widdow of Abel Salisbury< no role >
is lately come to Reside in
your said Parish not having obtained any
legal Settlement there, and is likely to become charge-
able thereto by reason of Poverty
unless timely prevented,
which Complaint we adjudge to be true. And forasmuch
as it appears unto us by the Oath of David Thomas< no role >
That her said Husband Abel Salisbury about Five Years ago
lived as an House keeper by the Space of three Years att the
Castle & Magpie in the old Bailey in the said Parish of St.
Sepulchres London & paid upwards of ten pounds P Annu
Rent & that by any meanes whatsoever old
not obtain any subsequent Settlement. We the said Ju-
stices are therefore of Opinion, and do adjudge the last
legal Settlement of the said Ann Salisbury
to be in the said
Parish of Saint Sepulchres London
and that thitherto she
ought by Law to be sent.

THESE are therefore in His. Majesty's Name to re-
quire You to remove and convey the said Ann Salisbury< no role >
from and out of your said Parish of Saint Martins
Ludgate London, to the said Parish of
Saint Sepulchres London and her leave with
the Churchwardens & Overseers of the Poor there, or
one of them, who is and are hereby required to receive
and provide for Her according to Law. Hereof fail
not, and this shall be your Warrant. Given under our
Hands and Seals the 11th. Day of July Anno
Domini 1726
