London , and the Churchwardens and
Overseers, of the Poor of the Parish of St. Nicholas
Coleaby London respectively.

WHEREAS Complaint hath this Day been made
unto us two of his Majesty's Justices of the
Peace for this City, and the Liberties thereof (Quorum
unus) by You the Churchwardens and Overseers of
the Poor of the Parish of Saint. Gregory by Saint Pauls
London, That Sarah Meares< no role > Wife of William Meares< no role > ,
(now as Prisoner in Woodstreet Compter Lord together
with her two Children Margarett < no role > Aged two Yeares &
Three Months, and James, < no role > Aged Nine Months, or thereabouts
are lately cone to Reside in [..]
your said Parish not having obtained any
legal Settlement there, and are likely to become charge-
able thereto by reason of their Poverty
unless timely prevented,
which Complaint we adjudge to be true. And forasmuch
as it appears unto us by the Oath of her the sd. Sarah Meares
that her sd. Husband & her last legall Settlement or place of
Abide was in the Sd. Parish of St. Nicholas Coleabby her Sd. Husband
About Fourteen Yeares since having Rented a house there.
of Twenty Pounds P Ann, and hath
not obtained any subsequent Settlement. We the said Ju-
stices are therefore of Opinion, and do adjudge the last
legal Settlement of the said William Meares< no role > ; Sarah his Wife
and Margarett & James their Children to be in the said
Parish of St. Nicholas Coleabby London and
that thitherto they ought by Law to be sent.

THESE are therefore in his. Majesty's Name to re-
quire You to remove and convey the said Sarah Meares< no role >
together wth. her sd. two Children Margarett & James
from and out of your said Parish of St. Gregory by St. Pauls
London, to the said Parish of St. Nicholas Cole-
Abby Pond and them leave with the Churchwardens
Overseers of the Poor there, or one of them, who is and
are hereby required to receive and provide for them
according to Law. Hereof fail not, and this shall be your
Warrant. Given under our Hands and Seals the 9th.
Day of March Anno Domini 1720 .
