taken upon oath before me this 14th. day of May 1715
This Examinant saith that between 12 and one of the clerk on sunday
morning the 30th. of April last, this Examint, was called by one of
the Boys belonging to the Dog Tavern at Billinsgate
to take up a
Hair at ye. said Tavern
And this Examt. having been a little time
at the door of the said Tavern one of the Drawers came to this
Examt., and told this Examt. the Gentlemen had sent for him
to come to them whereupon this Examt. went with the said
Drawer into the Kitchen, where were only four persons in
company together who as this Ext. hath been since told are

one of which vizt. Lister being as leep the said Edwd. Newton< no role >
awaked him And saith that the said Nicholas Parker< no role >
gave this
Examt. a Glass of Wine and desired this Examt. to wait for
him which this Examt. did in the said Kitchen, And this Examt.
saith that after he had waited a little time the said Edward
Newton< no role >
went out of ye. said Tavern and in about aquarter of
an hour returned in a great passion and came to the said
Mr. Lister Nicholas Packer< no role >
and Wm. Rice and swore he had
lost a Bagg of mony And the said Nicholas Parker< no role >
unbuttond
himself and desired to be searched but was not and saith that
the said Nicholas Parker< no role >
called for half a Pint of Sack and
the said Wm. Rice threw down a pocket Book on ye. Table
to the said Edward Newton< no role >
wch. ye. said Edwd. Newton tooke
up And this Examt. saith that while they were discoursing
the Master of the house and a Drawer came in but this
Examt. doth not remember what they said and saith yt.

thereupon went out of the said Tavern into this Examts.
