The Examination of George Turner< no role > of Peter Street in
the parish of St. Margarett Westmr . in the County of
Middlesex Hackney Coachman taken upon Oath
before me this 14th. day of May 1715

This Examint. saith that between 12 and one of the clock on Sunday
Morning the 30th. of April last, this Examt. was called by one of
the Boys belonging to the Dog Tavern at Billinsgate , to take up
affair at ye. sd. Tavern. And this Examt. haveing been a little
time at the Door of the sd. Tavern. one of the Deawers came to
this Examt. and told this Examt. the Gentleman had sent
for him to come to them, whereupon this Examt. went with ye.
sd. Drawer into the Kitchen, where only four persons in Company
together who as this Examt. hath been since told are Lister
Edwd. Newton< no role > Nicholas Parker< no role > & Wm. Rice< no role > , one of wch. vizt Lister
being asleep the sd. Edwd. Newton awaked him and saith that
the sd. Nicholas Parker< no role > gave this Examt. a Glass of Wine, and
desired this Examt. to wait for him which this Examt. did in
the sd. Kitchen, and this Examt. saith that after he had waited
a little time the sd. Edwd. Newton went out of the sd. Twrern
and [..] in abt. aquarter of an hour returned in a great passion and came to the sd.
Nicholas Parker< no role > and Wm. Rice and swore he had lost a Bag of
mony And the sd. Nicholas Parker< no role > unbuttend himself & desired
to be searched but was not and saith that the sd. Nicholas
Darker
< no role > called for half a Pint of Sack and the sd. Wm. Rice
threw down a pocket Book on the Table to the said Edwd. Newton
wch ye sd. Edwd. Newton tooke up And this Examt. saith that
while they were disputing the Master of the have and a Drawer came in but this Exam my doth not remember what the said and sarth that the sd. Nicholas Parker and Wm. Rice imediately thereupon
went out of the sd. Savern into this Examts. Coach and the sd.
Nicholas Parker< no role > orderd this Examt. to drive to New Street
without Bishopgate wch. this Examt. did accordingly and
sat them down there
