Whereas Complaint hath beene made unto
us Two of his Maties. Justices of the Peace for the
said Citty (Quor unus) by the Church Wardens and
Overseers of the poore of the Parish of St. Brides
als Bridgets London, That one Anne Warren< no role > widd
is come into the said parish endeavouring to settle
there without giveing notice in writing to the said
Church Wardens & Overseers of the poore or any
of them according to Law, and is likely to become
chargeable to the said parish, And forasmuch
as it appeares into us upon the Examinacon of the
said Anne upon Oath, That about Three Weekes
after the decease of King Charles the Second, she
went & lived (together with William Isaac Warren< no role > her
husband) at one Mrs. Crookes a Bricklayers widdow in
great Queene Street in the Parish of St. Giles's in
the feilds in the County of Middx, where they continu'd
for about Six Months, and that from that time
untill the time of her sd husbands decease (which is
abt. Two years since) her sd husband was only a
lodger, & that since his decease she hath only had
lodgings upp, & downe in sevall places; wherefore wee
doe adjudge the said Anne Warren< no role > to be last legally
settled in the sd parish of St. Giles in the feilds in
the sd County of Middx.

These are therefore in his Maties. name Strictly to charge
& comand you the Church Wardens & Overseers of the poore
of the said Parish of St. Brides als Bridgetts London, some or
one of you upon sight thereof, To remove & Convey the body of
the said Anne Warren< no role > out of yor. sd. Parish, unto the sd parish
of St. Giles's in the feilds in the Country of Middx , & her deliver
unto the Church Wardens & Overseers of the poore there, or to
some or one of them; who are hereby required her to receive &
Pvide for; (as occasion shall required) untill they shall be of her
discharged by due Course of Lawe, and for soe doeing this
shall be yor. Warrt Given under our hands & Seales this
Seaventeenth day of October Ao: Dm 1699 o.

the parish of St. Brides als Bridgetts London,
and to all others whome this may Concerne.
