The Informacon of William Mandrell< no role > taken the ninth
day of May 1694

Who upon Oath saith that on or about the 13th: day of Aprill
last about 5 or 6 a Clocke Afternoone He with William
Smith
< no role > & Wm. Cadogan< no role > went to the signe of the Sallmon &
Ball in long Ally neere Moorefeilds in the Parish of St.
Leonard Shoreditch in the County of Midlesex the said Smith
haveing a Warrant to presse Drumer for his Maties. Service
[..] and haveing [..] Informacon that Peter Whittingham< no role > lodges
there and was a Drumer this Informant & the said Smith and
Cadogan went Up two paire of Staires and lookt thro the
key hole of the Doore of the said Whittinghams Chamber
[..] sawe there cliping of mony Peter Whittingham< no role > aforesaid
Sollomon Hewet< no role > , & Ann White< no role > reputed Wife of Sollomon Hewet< no role >
and going into the said Chamber with the aforesaid Smith and
Cadoganandsawe on the Bed [..] in the said Chamber a Blew
Apron wherein was clipt mony and clippings where this
Informant [..] & the said Smith and Cadogan seized the
aforesaid Whittingham and caried him to the Kings Armes
Taverne in Cateaton Streete and whilst the aforesaid Smith
and Cadagan were gone for a Constable the said Whittingham
gott out of the roome & pulling the doore after him made his escape, and
the said Hewet & White made theire escape out of Whittingham
Chamber whilst this Informant & the said Smith & Cadgan
were searching the [..]
