me one of his Majestys Justices of the Peace
for the County
of Middlesex
Who Saith That about one o'Clock in the morning of the sixth
day of November Instant as he was going from Hackney
to
London he was met and stop on the Past was in a field near the Mutton
and Catt near the Kings Highway in the Parish of Saint John
Hackney
in the said County of Middlesex
by three man thinks
there wee four, when the Prisoner [..] now under Examination
said to this Informant you old Irish Bagger what are You
going to give us to drink or towards the Bonfire, Informant
Hold them he had no money and if he had the Bonfire was
nearly out and that he had but one farthing about him
them One of the men said search the Old Bagger and [..]
two of them searched both his Breeches Pockets
and his
Fob Pocket and Found nothings then one of the man said
that the money was in his HandKerchief and immediatly

now under Examination took his
Hand kerchief from off his Neck and Searched the Corners
of it and then struck this Informant a violent blow
which Knocked him down to the Ground then Informant
got up and Hollowed out Murder and then the Prisoner
Cherry again struck this Informant on the Nose and
called him an Irish Bagger and then they all ran away
towards Haggeston and this Informant came on thro
the Fields towards London.
