The Information of John Fogg< no role > taken on Oath the
Twenty sixth day of November 1789 before me one of his
Majesties Justices of the Peace for the County of Middlesex

Who Saith That on Wednesday nightaboutthe Eighteenth day of
November Instant about Eleven o'Clock he was doing home And under
an Archway at the end of Whilegate street Bishopsgate street which
leads into and joins Pettycoat Lane he was met by three woman
one of whom came up to him and said she wanted to speak to him, he
asked her what she wanted of him, she said she would be much
Obliged to him if he would change her a bad Halfpenny which he refused to
do, then the tallest of the three woman made a blow at him with
something that caught hold of his Coat and to wit Informant
then struck at the woman with his hand and inside her and
immediatly received a blow from a men which appeared to this
Informant come from the further side the Arch, then one of the
Women seized hold of Informant and the man stood at some distance
the time Informant then asked then if they meant to rob, And that
he Knew them, (they then being all three together). Then the shortest
woman made Answer and said Blast his Eyes give him a Topper
and Words further Ensured and Informant laid hold of the Tall
woman by the hand and was very much alarmed, the Shortest woman
put her hand into his Breeches Pocket and took out his money Six
Shillings and Six Pence or upwards and then the Middlesex Woman took
his Watch out of his Pocket and then they want away, but which
way the man went Informant doth not knew, but he pursued the Woman
up [..] Pettycoat Lane into a Court called Dillons Court and Watched
them into a house and then went to acquaint the officer of the
Night of Spital fields . what had happen and they immediatly
went with him to the house where the women went in and there
they found them together And by the Information of the Shortest
Woman they found the Watch Concealed under the Stair Case of
the Room where the Woman were And further Saith That
Ann Great, Ann Yard< no role > by and Susannah Brown< no role > now under
Examination are the same three woman that Assulted and
Robbed him in manner before mentioned.
