The Information of William Cryer< no role > and John
Smith
< no role > taken upon Oath the 23d. Day of
November 1789

Who upon his Oath saith that on Saturday the 21st.
Day of November Instant about the middle of the Night he
went into a Publick House in St. Giles's called the Hampshire
Hog he called for some Liquor that the Prisoner was sitting
in the Room nursing a Child that she pretended to know
his Name and to be Acquainted with that she drank some
of his Liquor that he had called for that he went to pay
for such Liquor and when he pulled out his Money the
Prisoner Matched a crooked half Guinea out of his
Hand & immediately went into the Yard

John Smith< no role > for himself saith that he is a Watchman
belonging to St. Giles's that on Sunday the 22d. Day of
November Instant about five OClock in the Morning he
heard the Cry (Watch Watch) near the Hampshire Hog in
High Street St. Giles's afd. upon wch. he immediately ran
& went into the House where he saw the Charlotte Mc. Lochlan
who run out of the House into the back Yard he pursued
her and took her into Custody upon which the Prisoner
immediately said I have not the Money but I know
where it is and that he immediately afterwards conveyed
her to the Watch house
