The Information of Catherine Towers< no role > Spinster
Servant taken on Oath before me this 22nd. day
of October 1789

Who being on Oath says, that on Monday Night
the 21st. of September last, she this Informant before she
went to bed, locked and secured all the doors and Windows
of the said house, that between Seven and eight o'Clock the
next Morning she arose and came down Stairs, and then
found her Masters Dressing Room door open which greatly
Surprized her, she being certain that she had locked it the
Night before, that this Informant then went down the
Kitchen Stairs, and then found the back Area door wide
open one of the bolts of which nearly wrenched off
and the door post very much cut that when she went to bed she left a Candlestick upon the Month piece in the Kingsten with Fill an Half a Came in it and that when she got up in the Morning she to found upon a Bench
in the Passage the said [..] Candlestick with the [..] Candle
Which she had left in on the man the piece in the Kitchen
Which candle was [..]
nearly burnt out [..] that the Butlers
Pantry
< no role > was also broke open and [..] a quantity of Plate
taken from thence and that the desk in her Masters Room
was brock open several articles taken there out, and
every king left in great confusion
