the afternoon and shewed this Informant Two large Pieces of Black
Lead which said Man said Weighed five pounds and an half
thatandsaidthat he would have a Guinea per pound for it,
Informant then ask'd him how he came by it, and whether he
knew the Quality of said Lead, said Man replied that he
had it from a Woman and had left half a Guinea with her for every
pound till he had sold it That Informant then told
said Man that he suspected said Lead to have been stolen
And that if he would go with him to the proprietors he might
possibly put Twenty pounds into his pocket for the discovery
to which said Man agreed, but first observed that he would
go home and tell his Wife of it, said Man then went away
taking the Lead with him but did not returnabout three
Days afterwards Informant says said Man came by his
house and Informant asked him why he did not return
who answer'd that Informant had put him in such
Tener when he last saw time, that [..] the Lead
back to the Woman from whom he had it and received
back the Two Guineas and half which he had deposited
afterwards nothing put her passedthat Informant bath
seen said Man two or three times since but does not
know where said Man lives, or did he ever being
him any other Lead then that [..] before mentioned
and that the Lead produced by said Man [..] to this
Informant he believes to be worth not more than
half a Guinea a pound
