being Sworn saith That
he is a Headborough of the above Parish and that
on Thursday last about the hour of Seven he was
sent for to take William Powell< no role >
into Custody on
a charge of haveing drawn a Knife on the
deceased That [..] he went in Company
with Benjamin Broad< no role >
for that Purpose and was
Joined by the deceased That they found Powell
in Nightingale Court and took him into Custody
That he became Unruly and Threatened to Rip
open the Bowlls of the deceased and began to
Struggle and threw Deponent and Wilkinson
against the wall three or four times That
the deceased had a [..] Stick in his hand in
Length about three feet and in Circumference about
the Size of his Little Finger that he struckthe
Powell across the Shoulders but not with any
Degree of Violence as he held the Stick near
the Middle That Powell continued to Struggle
