Davis and also young Richards< no role > , and told
and Davis his Message, that Davis and
Richards both sett off to go Home
immediately, that this Examt. met said
Mrs Davis in Bedford Street aforesaid
between 9 and 10 oClock that Evening, when
she told this Examinant she sent him
for her Husband, on Account of having
found a Dead Body, an going down
Stairs under the Watch House for a
Pail of Water, and that she had been
greatly frightened by it

Oath and Saith that last Sunday Night at near
eleven oClock He saw Young Richards< no role > and Rees
Davis
< no role > two of the Beadles of St Andrew,
Holborn above the Barrs at the Watch house
in Bedford Street , when sd Davis told this Examt.
in the Presence of Richards, "they" (meaning
Davis and Richards) " were got into a Scrape"
this Examt asked "what" when One or both
said "had not this Examt. heard" this Examinant
replied "No" - One or both then said "a Man"
"had been brought into the Watch House on"
"Wednesday Night and been Ordered by"
"the Constable Down Stairs, that the Man"
"was left there till four o'Clock in the"
"Thursday Afternoon having been forget"
"and was then found dead"
