The Voluntary Examination of John Mask< no role >
taken on Oath the Sixth day of January 1787
before us two of his Majestys Justices
of the Peace for the County of Middlesex

Who Saith That on Saturday night the Thirteenth day of
December last he went to a Public house the Sign of the
Kings head in the Parish of Christ Church where he sat
drinking for three: or four Hours till near Twelve o'Clock
in Company with Charles Barker< no role > and Charles Newton< no role >
while they Were there Newton [..] and Barker
proposed to this Examinant that if he would go with them
they would shew him where he could get some money
and then they all three went together To an Alehouse
the Sign of the Eagle and Child in Anchor street in the
Parish of Saint Matthew Bethanl Green , the house then
being shut Barker said if you could get in there, there
was Plenty of Liquor, then they all three together opened
the Taproom Window by forceing it open by a piece of Iron
Examinant then got in at the Window and Newton
followed him into the house, Barker then being at
the Window in the street they handed out [..] to him Eight
Casks, and then they came out of the house and this
Examinant carried two of the Casks Newton three and
Barker three to the Appartments of the said Barker in Balls alley
wasWhen Jane Wasmore< no role > was in Bed and sat up in the
Bed and drank some of the Liquor, then they all three
went to the Starr and Garter near Shoreditch Church and
there drank Two potts of Purl or Beer and about half
past six returned again to Barkers Apartment and
took each of them one of the Casks, and carried to the house of
Moses Levy< no role > in Frying pan Alley Petty coat Lane and
knocked at the door and was lett in by a young Woman who
directed them all three up into a One pair of Stairs room
where her Master and Mistress was in bed, Moses Levy< no role >
then got up and desired them to make all the hast they could
