this 14th. day of July 1787

Who being upon Oath Severally Say and first the said
Edward Capon< no role >
for himself says that about 8 o'Clock on
Thursday Night the 12th. Instant as he was sitting in
his Lodgings facing the said William Bell< no role >
's House in
White House yard
aforesaid he Saw the person now
present who calls himself William Knight< no role >
Standing
at the door of the said William Bell< no role >
That a Man cann
and spoke to said Knight and then went away That in
a little time after he saw said Knight take a piece of
Shalloon from out of the Shop of said BellThat he this
Informant called out "Stop Thief" and then ran down
Stairs and pursued him when he was apprehended And
this Informant further Says that at the time the said
Knight stole the said Shalloon as aforesaid he was
dresed in a Black Coat and White Stocking And he
said Henry Howell< no role >
for himself says that as he was
Standing at his Fathers door in Stanhope Street
about
8 o'Clock on Thursday Night last he heard the cry of Stop thief
That he looked about and saw a person in a Black Coat
and White Stocking run down Ha [..] hton Street
That he purmed him to Now Inn Passage
when he
dropt he piece of Shalloon now produced And the said
William Bell< no role >
for himself says that he piece of Shalloon
now produced in this Property and was feloniously stolen
in his Shop on Thursday last the 12th. day of July Instant
