The Information of Thomas Pemberton< no role > Driver
of the Hackney Coach No: 633 belonging to Thos:
Earl
< no role > of Portpool Lane taken before me this
23rd. day of August 1787

Who being upon Oath Says that between four and five o'Clock
of Monday was sevenight he was called from the stand in
Charles Street to the New Hummerns Chop House in Russel
Street Covent Garden where he took up two Persons now present
who call themselves Robert Farr< no role > and Mary Shepherd< no role >
That said Mr. Farr was at this time much disguised with
LiquorThat Said Mr. Farr desired him to drive to Moores
the Red Lion the corner of the Piazza where Said Mr. Farr
and Mary Shepherd< no role > got out and remained about half on hour
drinking Shrub and BrandyThat said Mr. Farr and Mary
Shepherd
< no role > then got into his Coach and Mr. Farr desired him
to drise to Wardour Street which he did to a House the
corner of Meards Court ; where said Mary Shepherd< no role > got out
and went awayThat said Mr. Farr ten got out and went
into said House faith paying this Informant his fare of one
Shilling, altho' he had received [..] the said Mary [..] his
fare of one Shilling from the said Mary Shepherd< no role > when at
MooresThat in his way from Moores to Wardour Street , he
did not drive into any part of Hog LaneThat after putting
said Mr. Farr down, in his way house, the said Mary Shepherd< no role >
called to him at the corner of Plumtree Street St: Giles's , and
desired him to drive her to Charles Street which he did; and finding
no Public House open there, she desired him to drive to Moores
at the Red Lion ,whereat whose Door this Informant and said Mary Shepherd< no role >
