And this Informant Joseph Abbott< no role > for
himself Saith That he is an Apprentice to Tanner
and was in Company with Robbins and the others
at the time this Matter happened That near to
Bleeding heart yard they were all set upon by 7
or 8 persons who first Surrounded Tanner and
Chapman was the first who went up to Tanner
and he was known to Tanner That Chapman
then turned round and went to Robbins who was
behind Tanner and Knocked him down and Took
his Hat off his head when he was down and
gave it to another person in Company with
him That knowing Chapman he went up to
him and asked him for the property When he
made [..] Blow at him Damn'd him and asked
him What business he had with it and then Chapman
went to his Companious and all of them fell upon
Robbins Tanner< no role > and the other peron and beat Them
very much and then they all made their Escape
That about one oClock the same morning Chapman
Came to his Masters House and addressing himself
To Tanner said he hoped That Mr. Tanner
did not think he used him Ill for he had got
a Black Eye in taking his part That taken
then sent him to fetch the Watchman which
he did and Chapman was Secured
