Who being on their Oaths say and first the said Matthew

and William Matthews< no role >
TheSay and cash
Speaking for themselves say that they yesterday
morning about Six o'Clock they stopped the Person
now present who says his Name is James Handley< no role >
on White Chapel Road
with the Soap now produced
in his Possession that on Asking him what he had go to
he answered thirts which Caused them to search him
And finding soap they took him to the Watch house
on Suspicion of having Stolen the same

Saith that he lives in Bishopgate Street
London
in Partners hiss with Samuel Stone< no role >
in the Oil and
Colour Trade

Servant
and had access to the Cellar where they
usually deposit their Soap That He this Informant
doth Suspect the said Soap now Produced is the
Property of the said Saml Stone< no role >
and himself and that
the said James Handley< no role >
hath Stolen the same
Taken and both Sworn before us

the said Soap now produced out of the Cellar of

but does not Know her name
That he hath beforeStolenSold her Soap which
he got from the same place
