And the said Richard Long< no role > for himself saith that he is a Mariner and
Lodges next door he the White Swan in King Street Wapping that he was at
the Black Horse and Crown on Tower Hill on Saturday the tenth day of
March instant about teno'Clock in the evening and remained there until four o'Clock in the next morning that he saw the
Prosecutor Collin Minzies< no role > and also James Walsh< no role > otherwise David Welch< no role >
and MichaelFlyn< no role > who are now present and one John
Desmond
< no role > (not present) in Company together in a room of the said House
called the Kitchen between three and four oClock in the morning by the dial of the House that Collin Menzies< no role > was setting on a
Chair the said MichaelFlyn< no role > on aBoxChest
and the said Walsh otherwise Welch and Desmond on the Settle
That Desmond ordered this Informant to go out of the room which he did
and sat himself down by the Bar in such a situation as he could see all this
passed amongst them the said Collin Menzies Walsh Flyn and Desmond
That he saw the said Collin Menzies get up from his Chair and said Walsh
Trip up his hats and him
thrownhimdown that when he was down he
saw the said Michael Flyn< no role > put hisfive finger and thumb of this righthand
into Menzies left hand Waistcoat Pocket and pull out between his face and middle finger a purse with
which he retired behind a settle That the said Collin Menzies was
very Drunk
That this Informant soon after went home but did not before he went
take any Notice or mention many Person in the House what he had seen
for fear of getting in TroubleThat he has since been very uneasy in
his Mind that he did not mention itand his [..] the said Cotton
that on Monday or Tuesday last he met the said Collin Minzies
Menzies after the Robbery untillast when he met him
near the Minories and related to him all he had seen and Knew of the
matter lastly saith that he also told one Mrs. Sullivan on the Monday
following that Menzies was robbed of his Money and also told a Mrs Rim
who are [..] since both gone to Portsmouth
