This Informant upon her Oath saith that on Thursday
last the Twenty third day of March instant at about the hour
of Eight of the Clock in the Evening she being then in Company
with one Sarah Scott< no role >
. She saw Two Men at theat theDoor
of Mr. Thomas Baker< no role >
in Tash Street
Grays Inn Lane
one of
which said Men is the Prisoner Thomas Tanner< no role >
this Informts.
then went to No 14
in Tash Street
aforesaid where she lives
but her Husband not being at Home she and the said
Sarah Scott< no role >
returned back again when she a second time
Saw the prisoner Thomas Tanner< no role >
and the other Man at the
door aforesaid The other Man then opened the door and went
into the House and the said Thos. Tanner< no role >
Stood leaning against
the [..] side of the door This Informant well know the
PrisonerTanner to be a person of bad Character having
known him from a Child and Immediately Suspected
that they were Robbing the House upon which this Informt.
went round to the Shop door in Grays Inn Lane
and told
Mr. Bakers Sister who was then in the Shop with two Men
buying some Meat that she this Informt. thought the
House was being robbed backwards One of the two Men who was
then in the Shop immediately Ran out and the other
Stopt about three or four Minutes and then went away
likewise Mr. Bakers Sister then Missed a Basket and
some Linnen whichwassaid Basket and a Cloth was
found in Tash Court and brought back
