in and for the said
County this 5th. day of April 1786
This Informant upon his Oath saith that
on Saturday the first day of April instant at about
the hour of Ten or Eleven of the Clock in the Evening
He was picked up by the prisoner Mary Bass< no role >
at
a public House in Chick Lane
who took him to her
Lodging in an Alley or Court near Chick Lane
where this Informant wen to bed and put his
Money in one of his Stockings which he put
between the Bed and Sacking That the said Mary
Bass< no role >
came to Bed likewise and soon after the
said Mary Bass< no role >
took the Stocking and Money
from under the bed and ran down Stairs with
it that presently after a Man came up to this Infort
with the Stocking duly and forced him out of the Room And
this Informant further saith that the said Stocking
Contained Two half Crown pieces and Six Shillings
in Silver and Twelve Penny worth of Copper Half pence
this Informant property and that the said Mary Bass< no role >
did Feloniously steal take & Carry away the same.
