Taken the 1st. day of December 1786

Who upon his Oath Saith That on Thursday the
16th. day of November last about the hour of half fast
6 o Clock in the Evening as he was going up Holborn in company
With one Duncan Robinson< no role > since deceased and on care to
a certain Street called Newton Street his left Hand pocket
was picked of a Green parchment Covered pocket Book
Containing some Memorandums and a Duplicate of a Coat
pawned for Seven Shillings but nothing Else was taken
from him That at the same time he Caught the hand of
one Michael Walker< no role > now in Custody in his said pocket
and saw him Convey something to another person near him
dressed in a Dark Blue Jacket as it appeared to him at
that time which this Informant believes to be his said
Pocket Book That he then seized Walker by the Collar
and Charged him with the fact relich he denied That the said
duncan Robinson assisted him and they were going to take
him to a public House in order to get proper Assistance to
have had him Conveyed to the Round House or before
Justice but before they could get to a Public House the
said Michael Walker< no role > with fore and violence Resaned
himself from their CustodyIsaac Hunt< no role >
