The Information of William Weaver< no role >
one of the Headboroughs of the Parish of Saint James
Clerkenwell in the County of Middlesex taken upon Oath
before me William Blackborow< no role > Esqr . One of His Majesty's
Justices of the Peace in and for the said county this 6th.
day of December 1786 .

This Informant upon his Oath saith that that one
Sunday the Third Day of December Instant [..] at about Eight of
the Clock in the Evening he Received Intelligence that several [..]
Suspicious Persons had Committed a Robbery and were conveying
the Goods into a House upon Saffron Hill in consequence of
which he this Informant took Mr. Luey an officer of the said parish
of St. James Clerkenwell to his Assistance and immediately went
to the House before mentioned That after waiting about the door
for a few minutes he saw a person of the name of Robinson come
out and knowing him to be Suspected Person Mr. Lucy [..]
endeavoured to take him but he Struck at him with a Stick &
made his Escape That this Informant & the said Mr. Lucy then
after some little time got into the House and went into the Yard
and the said Mr. Lucy told this Informant that somebody had
got over into the next Yard upon which they both Ran round
into the next House and Yard where they found the Prisoner
George Stevens< no role > and a quantity of Wearing apparel Vizt. Silk
Gowns a White Waistcoat a Boys blue Cloth Coat a black Silk
Cloak and several other things which this Informant secured
and put into an Apron Having first secured the Prisoner by
tying his Hands they left the House and on Saffron Hill near
Blue Court this Informant was Victutly Assaulted next
and Wounded by the said Robinson aforementioned and
several others in his Company that they also took
