The Information of Lawrence Erhart< no role > and John
Smith
< no role > taken before me Samuel Hawkins< no role >
Esquire one of His Majesty's Justices of the
Peace for the said County the
day of November 1786 Who being on their Oaths
say And,

First the said Lawrence Erhart< no role > for himself
saith that last Night about Ten o' Clock
he went in Company with the Woman now
present who says her Name is Mary Flanningan< no role >
to a House in a Back Street near White Chapel
that he laid down with her onthea bed there
that whilst he was so with her on the sd Bed he verily
believes she the said Mary Flanningan Picked his
pocket of four Guineas and a French Crown
[..] That he felt her hand in
his [mark] Breeches Pocket upon which he Immediately
felt therein and found his purse Empty
and his Money gone that he then told her she
had Robbed him upon which the replied " You
" lie" and immediately called in another Woman
who called to somebody else for a Candleupon whichwhen a Man
brought one Alightfurther saith that he offered
her half the Money if she would return the
rest but she still persisted the had not got it
an upon which, heThat he then left the House and soon
after met a Peace Officer who went with him
back to the said House and took the said Woman
into Custody and also saw him find and
