The Information of Elizabeth the wife of
John Smith< no role > of Church Street in the Parish
of Saint Ann Middlesex Gardenor Taken
this first day of October 1784 before us
two of his Majestys Justices of the peace
in and for the said County

Who being on her Oath saith the about seven
O Clock in the Evening of Thursday the Twenty third day
of September last being then in Hackney Coach
she was stopped by two men mar Stepney Church who with [..] naked
Cutlasses demanded her Money. Watch and Rings
andaftersayed your Money or your Life. Whereupon
Informant gave one of the said two men one shilling
when they told [..] the Coachman to drive on
a fast as he could. And this Informant lastly
Saith that she verily believes a person now present
and who calls himself John Wheeler< no role > is one of the
said two Men who Stopped the said Coach Put her
in Bodily fear and danger of her life and robbed
her as above mentioned
