The Information of Joseph Coleman< no role > , William
Coleman
< no role > and John Brown< no role > taken before me this 9th
day of August 1784.

Who being on Oath say and first the said Joseph Coleman< no role > says that
he Lodges at William Coleman< no role > 's his Brother at Milbank, that on Saturday
night last he went to Bed about 10 o' clock that between 12 and one O' Clock a
person now present who calls himself James Anderson< no role > knocked at Informant
Room door which Informant opened and let said Anderson in to go to his own
Bed which was in a another Room; and this Informant says that a Pocket Book
nowa Silver Hat buckle and a Silver Sleeve Button now produced are his
Property. And the said William Coleman< no role > says that said James Anderson< no role >
Lodges at his house, that on Sunday morning last between 12 and one o'Clock
said Anderson knocked at the door that Informant got out of bed and lot him
in, that said Anderson went up Stairs, and seen after came down again
and went out; That in a Short time said Anderson Returned and knocked
at the Door again, That Informant let said Anderson in a again, that in
about 5 Minutes Anderson went out again, That Informant suspecting
something was the Matter went up Stairs and wakened Joseph Colemen his
Brother who immediately said his Watch was gone and on looking into his
Box found that all his Cloathes were gone; That Informant went with others in
pursuit of said Anderson, Whom he found within 20 Yards of his House and
Close to were Anderson Stood, Informant found 3 Coats, 3 Waistcoats, 4 pair
of breeches, an Handkerchief an Hat and a Watch the property of Joseph Coleman< no role >
his brother-and the said John Brown< no role > says he is Beadle of the Parish of
St Margaret Westminster . That yesterday morning about 4 o' Clock said
Anderson was brought to the Watch house of said Parish. That in Informant
Searching said Snderson he found in his pockets the Pocket Book, silver
Hat buckle, and Sleeve Button now produced.
