The Information of the Reverend Dr .. Robert Anthony
Bromley< no role > of Grafton Street in the parish of Saint Pancrass
in the said CountyMary< no role > his Wife and Agnes< no role >
his & Daughter taken before me this 26th. day of
August 1782

Who being upon Oath say, and first the said Robert
Anthony Bromley says, that as himself, his Wife, and Daughter, were
coming into Town on the 7th. day of August instants between the
hours of nine and ten oClock, they were stopped coming down
Islington Hill near the Turnpike Gate , by [..] about five
Foot pads who robbed this Informant of about five Pounds in
Moneythat he is very sure and James Smith< no role > now in
Newgate is one of the said Foot pads and that he doth verily
believe another [..] person who calls himself Samuel Reed< no role > now
in the same Gaol of Newgate to be another of the said Foot pads
that so robbed him as aforesaidThe said Mary Bromley< no role >
for herself says that she was robbed by said Foot pads of a
Silver Thimble, a silver Seal, a smalling Bottle & an Ivory
Measure at the same time and is very sure that the said
Samuel Reed< no role > is one of the Footpads that robbed herAnd
the said Agnes Bromley< no role > says that she was robbed by same
five Foot pads at the same time and place of a pair of Metal Buckles
and is very sure that the said James Smith< no role > is one of the Footpads
that robbed her, and that she doth verily believe that the
said Samuel Reed< no role > is another of the said five Footpads.
