The King agst.. Robert Wright< no role > on the
Prosecution of John Bradock< no role >

John Braddock< no role > of Saint John Street Clarkenwell in the County
of Middlesex Grocer maketh Oath and saith that he the Deponent
having last a Lump of Sugar out of his Shop, The Defendant Robert
Wright
< no role > was apprehended and charged with Stealing the same, and
Saith that he this Deponent Attended and Procured a Bill of
Indictment against the said Robert Wright< no role > on Tuesday the
Nineteenth Day of February instant and afterwards gave
Evidence to the Grand Jury on such Bill of Indictment, which
Bill of Indictment was found a true Bill as he this Deponent
was informed and this Deponent saith that he by directions did
afterwards attend at the old Bailey all Wednesday from Nine
of the Clock in the Morning until between Ten and Eleven of
the Clock at Night and Saith that the next Morning being
the Twenty first of February instant He this Deponent
was very ill and not able to Attend the Court any longer
owing to a Swore Cold which he this Deponent apprehends he
caught by waiting and Standing on the Cold wet Stones
the Proceeding Day, and this Deponent further Saith that
he did not neglect attending the Trial of this
Indictment from any other Motive or for any other reason
but from his Illness and disability to attend

Sworn at the Sessions House in
the old Bailey the 25th day
of February 1782}
