The Information of Elizabeth Wells< no role >
taken before me One of His Majesty's
Justices of the Peace for the said City
and Liberty

Who being upon Oath saith that she lives in Shorts
Gardens in Saint Giles in the Fields that she
has known one John Monday< no role > for about Seven Years
that sometime before Christmas day last she said
John Monday< no role > called at this Informants House
and produced a twenty Pounds Bank Note desiring
her to give him the Cash for it but she not having
so much in the House she went out to ask [..]
Whether the Nots was a good one when being
satisfied that it was she gave the said John
Monday
< no role > fourteen Pounds and that her Husband
would give him the remainder that Night or the
Next morning this Informant further saith
that some few days after her Husband brought
home several Bank Notes in a red Pocket Book
but to whas amount this Informant cannot say
telling her that he had Cashed those Notes for John
Monday
< no role > and would keep them bye him [..] he
got into a Public House that she gave her
Husband the twenty Pound Note abovementioned
on which she had advanced the fourteen pounds
and saw him put the same into the Pocket Book
with the others and this Informant further saith
that she verily believes the whole of the Bank Note
found in her House at the time it was searched
and now produced did belong to and were the property
of the said John Monday< no role >
