Informations taken this Eleventh
day of February 1782 at the Parish of
St. Paul Covent Garden within the
Liberty of Westmr. in the County of
Middlesex upon an Inquisition touching
the death of William Ogle< no role > lying dead in
the said Parish Liberty and County

Robert Mitford< no role > of Cornhill in the City of
London Esqr . on his Oath saith That on Monday
Evening the forth of this Instant this Dept.
took a Pear of Horse [..] his own Post Chaire at the Sign of the George
in Hounslow and set out from thence about
Six o'Clock towards London, Says that near
the End of Gunnersbury Lane near Brentford
in the County of Middlesex the Chaise was
Stopped by two Man on Horse back in the
Kings Highway, who demanded Depts. Watch
and Money immediately or they would
flow his Brains out, one of the Men being
on each side of the Chaise, says that he
delivered his Gold Watch and some Silver
(Dept. thinks about Eight or ten Shillings)
to the Man on the right side of the Chaise,
That the same Man afterwards with threats and
Imprecations demanded more Money
upon which Dept. fired a Pistol which he
had in the Chaise loaded at the Man when
was almost close to the Chaise, Says that
he thinks he must have wounded the Man
and fancie that the Man leaned down
towards the Horse's Neck, and that both the
Men immediately rode away, Says that it
was so Dark that he could not know the
Man who Robbed him. Says that as soon
as he got to London he gave Information of
