Middlesex to wit


The Information of Michael Leoni< no role > , taken and
made on Oath before me one of Majestys Justices
of the Peace in and for the County of Middlesex the
29th. day of August 1781.

This Informant saith that on the twenty fifth day of
August instant between the Hours of nine and ten o'Clock
in the Evening he took a Hackney Coach in White chapel
to go to hisHouseLodgings at Kingsland in the said County
That a little beyond the Sign of the Black Horse in Kingsland
Road in the Parish of Saint Leonard Shoreditch in the said
County this Informant then being and riding on the Coach
Box, he was attacked by fourthreeFootpads who with horrid
Imprecations stopped the Coach and demanded this Informants
Money. That one of them came up to this Informant on the
the Coach Box while two others stood on the side of the Hosses
and the other at the Horses Heads. That this Informant
was struck several timesbywith a Cutlass or Hanger and
wounded on the Arm by the Person who came up to the
Coach Box, who robbed this Informant of a Gold Watch a
Silk Purse containing eleven Guineas, a red Pocket Book
containing a Note drawn for one hundred and fifty Pounds
about twenty Shillings in silver and two copper Medals
this Informants property And further saith that John
Harford
< no role > is one of the Persons who so attacked this Informant
and was concerned with the said other persons in robbing
this Informant of the abovementioned Things.
