saw a Quantity of Lead which had been concealed beneath
the Shavings and went further up shoreditch with it towards
theShoreditchChurch and this Informant suspecting the same was
Stolen followed the said Welch to see what he was going
to do with it. That the said John Welch< no role > carried the said
Lead into the House of Benjamin Braith waite who
keeps an Old Iron Shop next the Watch house in Shoreditch
aforesaid near the Church. That thesaidInformant
saw the said John Welch< no role > take it out of the Basket and
deliver the same to Mary Braithwaite< no role > who was then in
the shop who received the same and weighed it on the
[..] Seales on the Counter of the Shop. That upon this this
Informant went for a Headborough in order to apprehend the
parties and brought back with him Samuel Harpera
Head borough of the said Parish of Shoreditch who went
with this Informant into said Braithwaite, Shop but
the said John Welch< no role > was then gone away. That this
Informant then saw the said Lead in the Shop but the saw
Mary Braithwaite< no role > refused to inform this Informant
or the Head borough who [mark] she had bought it of or what
she had given for it. And further saith that he since has [..]
been to the said Shop and the same is now concealed or
conveyed away
