Hamlet of Ratcliff
in the Parish of Saint
Dunstan Stepney in the said County Esqr

Taken this 23d. day of July 1781 before me
of his Majestys Justices of the Peace
in and for the said County
Who being on Oath Saith that early in the Morning
of Saturday the second day of June last her Coach was
Stopped by four Footpads between Saint Georges Church
and the Sail Manufactory in the said County of Middlesex
who with Horrid Oaths and dreadful Imprecations
presented [..] a Pistol to him and demanded his Money which
he was obliged to Deliver to the amount of Two Guineas
and upwards after which, they demanded her Watch
threatening Vengeance of he did not immediately deliver
it which [..] with Great Reluctance he died
Saith that a Person now present and who calls
himself Charles Atkins< no role >
is he verily believes (but to whose
Identity he cannot positively Swear) one of the four
Persons concerned in the said Highway Robbery.
