one of his Majestys Justices of the Peace
for the said county the 24th. day of October
1775

Who saith that one Thomas Smart< no role > & a Woman who went
by the Name of Gordon made application to this
Informant Several times about Seven Weeks ago and informd him that they had a puss in
their Custody and this Informant further saith that
he the said Thomas Smart< no role > desired this Informant
to call at the King and Queen in Hare Street in the
Parish of Saint Matthew Bethnal Green in the County
of Middlesex and ask for one Green a Buckle Maker
that this informt. Enquired at the said House for
the said Greens when he this Informt. was shewn the said
Greens House when he found him not a home, that he
Returned a second Time to the said Greens House when he
this Informt. found him the said Green & a Woman whose
Name is Gordon inCompany with himthe said House
Saith that she the said Gordon Caussed him upon seeing
him at the House that she the said Gordon went to the
Stairs feet and called Tommy, that he the said Green
came down Stairs Saith that he the said Green after having
same Discourse with him asked him this Informt. to walk
up Stairs, Saith that he this Informt. saw some Implement
for Coining and Counterfeiting the Silver Coin of this [..]
and at the same time shewd him this Informt. a Quantity
of Counterfeit Six pences and also at the same time he the said
Green told this Informant that he had made them
Saith that he this Informant called some time after at
another house in Chick lane that he [..] the said Green
them shewd him this Informant a Six pence made of Real
Silver with a faint head in one side saith that he this
Informt. gave him the said Green three Guineas to go and buy some silver that he
the said Green whent and bought a parcell of Silver
