< no role > of Gosport in the County of Southampton on her Information
on Oath Saith That On [..] the Twelfth day of May last
between the Hour of Twelve & One o'Clock in the Night of that Day
to the best of her remembrance & beleif as to the day & the Hours
she was with other Company returning from London to Gosport aforesaid
in the Gosport Stage Coach When two Men on Horse back Came
up to the said Coach on the Highway near Buntford In the
County of Middlesex and Stopped the same When one of the then
Who was dressed in Black puld two Pistols into the said Coach
and demanded of this Informant & others them in the said Coach
to Session their Money or he would Blow their Brain out When
this Informant for the preservation of he Life delivered him one Guinea In
Gold and about Seven Shillings in Silver End the said other
Man (who had a Brownish Coat On Hood with him Horse by the
poor of the said Coach clerk to the other Horse as the Man was on whose
Robbert this Informant And that the Mani Horse Who so Robbed this-
Informant Was a Dark Brown with a Starr on his Fore head
And that the other Mans Horse was of a White Grey Color as-
Appeared to her at that him the Moon then Shining Very bright
And that She hath Seen two Persons this day in Gosport aforesaid Who
she Apprehends & Verily believesasso Robbed this Informance
And is Informed & beleives their Names are Burlon Wood< no role > and
James Mecker< no role > [..] Thomas Smith< no role >

Sworn Gosport above said this 13th. Oct
1775 before Me one of his Majestys Justices of
the Peace in & for the said County}
