the 23d day of October 1775

Who saith that on or about three Weeks before Midsummer day
last he this Informant saw one Thomas Green< no role > This name instance is in set 3657. and a Woman in
Company Standing in Hare Street in the parish of Saint Matthew
Bethnal Green when this Informant asked the said Green if he
wanted a House when he the said Green and he was come to look
at it Saith that the said Green and that it must be repaired
when this Informant told the said Green that he would repair it
and put a new Door to it, That he this Informant asked the
said Green where he lived last, he told him in old Street , Saith
that Green told him this informant that he would let him know
about twelve oClock whether he would have the House or not
That he the said Green returned about five oClock in the afternoon
and told this Informant he would have the House at the Rent
of Six pounds Ten Shillings P year and told this Informant if
he would allow him a Guinea he would do some little Repair to
the House himself, as he would huse to paper a part of it, which
this Informant agreed to do, Saith that he this Informant asked
the said Green were he should go to enquire his Character, when
he the said Green gave this Informant a Direction to a Person
on the other side of the Water, were he this Informant sent
who gave him a good Character, to the Satisfaction of this Informant
That in two or three days afterwards he the said Green came and
took Possession of this Informants House before this Informants
Men had finished such Repairs which he this Informant agreed
to do saith that he the said Green continued in the said house
a few Weeks after Michaelmas day That about two or three days
before Michaelmas day he this Informant called at Greens
house purmisnously when he the said Green told this Informant
that he should like to leave the said House to a Woman they
present who the said Green called his sister which this Informant
always before took for the said Greens wife
