where She was informed by the Man who keeps it that she came often there
and had been two or three days before, but that she had not been there that day
and her Could not tell where She lodged Sunday Evening She went again to
many of the places abovementioned to Enquire if she had been seen that day
but was informed she had not. Monday she went with Lynken to
Hammersmith and enquired at a Publick House She thinks the White Swan
but she was not known there they directed her to some Gardens into which
Deponent went and found a great many Women but did not See Smallbrook
some of the Garden people Directed her to Mr. Stows a Garden where
Smallbrook had Worked they just Enquired at Durvilles Esquire a
Gentleman near Hammersmith who pass Smallbrook an Annuity Quarterly
where Lynken Enquired of one Mr. Wood Servant to Mr. Durviller who told him
he had not seen her since She Received her last payment from his Master and
Could not tell where she was & Says Wood went with them to Hammersmith
and Called at a Publick House the Castle where they Slope while Mr. Wood
Stept out to enquire for Smallbrook who could not hear of her Wood told them
that his Mistress's Maid Servant met her Smallbrook about a Week before
in Hammersmith Street, she told the Maid that she should Certainly Come to
Lord Eqremonts as She had been desired which the Maid Encouraged her to do
Deponent then Enquired at a Lodging House in Hammersmith where many
of those Garden Women Lodge. they Could not tell anything of her but
directed Deponent to go to Chiswick to Mr. Stows Gardens and enquire she went
with Lynken to a Publick House at Chiswick where she enquired and a Man
there Bailiff of some Gardens had some knowledge of her and Say'd she had
worked at Mr. Stowes Gardens at Hammersmith who is Connected with Mr.
Stow of Chiswick but she had left these Gardens about three Weeks They left
Chiswick Enquired at Every Garden between that place and Rew but Could
not find her one Gardener directed them to Mr. Grants Gardens at Walham Green
where Deponent went with Mrs. Grants Man into the Gardens among the Work
People but did not see Smallbrook they directed her to another Garden in
Wallham Green where she Enquired but was informed that none but English people
Worked in their Gardens there was no Dutch Women among them they then
Enquired on their Return Back to Hammersmith at Mr Stow where She had
been informed she had Worked but could not find that she Worked there at
that time they having no Dutch Women in the Garden She enquired as directed
at Gardens Called Crab tree Gardens but could not find that she was there she
then Enquired at a Turnpike House near the Crab tree Gardens where she was
directed to enquire at Gardens at Brompton, where she went to one Mr.
Reubengall, Gardens was informed they knew Nothing of her they had none but
English Women, Enquired of several persons on the Road but to no Effect. Tuesday
Evening last made fresh Enquiries as before at the Angel in Tothill Street and other
places but Could get no further intelligence of her than before and that she had not
been seen since her former EnquiresAnd both these Deponents say that they
have been informed by several persons in the Course of such Enquiry and which
these Deponents believe to be true that the said Woman Eleanor Smallbrook< no role >
