was obliged to rub them between his fingers before they were finished
that the Said Mr. Martin likewise Sometimes assisted this Informant
to rub them, that the Said Edwards made a Tool now produced for the
rounding of Shillings and that he has seen the Said Edwards at Work
in rounding of Shillings, that the said Gardner was to plate counterfeit
Shillings for Mr. Jennings but that he this Informant never saw
him do it, that the said Backhouse was to teach and instruct the
said Jennings in making and counterfeiting Money in a compleat Manner,
that the Said Baker was to buy the Flask of the Said Jennings but did not,
that this Informant afterwards sold the Flask to a Smith in that
neighbourhood, that the Said Crisp lives at the Rose in Carsitor Street
and used to buy the Counterfeit Shillings of this Informant which he
had of the Said Morris particularly two Guineas worth about a
fortnight ago that the said Hazledon used to ask for [..] counterfeit
Shillings from the Said John Jennings< no role > , that he has seen the Said
Roberts of Buttlebridgemakeattempt to make an Impression upon
Candlestick with the Steel Instrument before described that the
said Roberts afterwards put the Said Instrument up the Chimney
in his Bake house in a Bag, that the said Robertsdescribed
desired this Informant to bring the Said Gardner to him to teach him
to plate for which he would give him half a Guinea, says that he
was sent by the said Jennings to the Said Merrit on a Message that in
Consequence Merrit came to Jennings's Shop where this Informant
saw him make two or three Casts of Counterfeit Shillings
